Iria Sub Location is located in Thumaita Location, Ndia East division, Kirinyaga West sub county, in Kirinyaga County, and is neighboring Gitaku, Kianjanga, Kariaini, Kagio-Ini, Kimathi, Mukure, Kanyokora, Matthauri, Baricho, Kithumbu, Thiiya sub locations. It has a total popupation of 3,224, of which 1,618 (50%) are male and 1,606 (50%) are female. The sub location has 1,043 households which averages 3.1 persons per household. Its land area is 5.40 square km and a population density of 597 persons per square kilometer.
